I am a Master's student in Computer Science at the Institute of Computing,
University of Campinas (UNICAMP), where I am affiliated with the
Laboratory of Visual Informatics (LIV).
I received my B.Sc. in Computer Science from the
Federal University of Ceara (UFC) in 2024,
graduating Summa Cum Laude.
My research deals with fairness, ideological sycophancy, and the identification
and mitigation of bias in large language models, with particular emphasis on
Brazilian educational and societal benchmarks. I am also interested in knowledge
graphs and retrieval-augmented generation as tools for grounding and evaluating
the output of such models.
- Bias and fairness in language models.
Measuring how language models reproduce, amplify, or mitigate social,
political, and demographic biases across diverse representation prompts.
- Evaluation in the Brazilian context.
Construction and analysis of benchmarks grounded in Brazilian social,
educational (ENEM, FUVEST, UNICAMP), and cultural settings.
- Ideological sycophancy and echo chambers.
Political personalization, echo chamber dynamics, and sycophantic behaviour
in language models, together with mitigation through retrieval-augmented
generation.
- Multimodal reasoning.
Evaluation of small vision-language models on exam-based multimodal
reasoning tasks and structured document understanding.
